After a wildly successful run on the festival circuit, including Best Feature awards at LA and U.S. Comedy Arts, the romantic comedy IRA & ABBY will be released theatrically in at least ten markets, starting this Friday (9/14) with New York and LA. The film marks Jennifer Westfeldt’s first turn as screenwriter/star since KISSING JESSICA STEIN.

The film, which I helped produce, is a sly and subversive take on marriage, and features an all star ensemble cast, including Chris Messina, Frances Conroy, Judith Light, Robert Klein, Fred Willard, and Jason Alexander.

In the coming weeks, IRA & ABBY will also hit theaters in cities such as San Francisco, Denver, Dallas, Miami, Sarasota, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Chicago (and hopefully many more!) For a full list of markets and theaters, please click HERE. Click here to view the trailer. And click HERE to check out the film’s reviews.

For those of you in NY and LA, our opening weekend performance is crucial to the future release pattern of the film, so please try and see it at the Sunshine in NY and the Landmark or Sunset 5 in LA. Hopefully we’ll make expand to even more markets based on strong word of mouth.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THIS FILM!

Lunacy’s first foray into the realm of documentary filmmaking is the aptly-named DIRTY COUNTRY - the true story of Larry Pierce. Directed by Found Footage Festival founders Nick Prueher and Joe Pickett, and produced by the Minneapolis based trio of Bill Kruse, Todd Hansen, & Dan Satorius (in addition to yours truly), the film takes a wildly funny look at the role dirty music plays in American culture - past, present, and future.

DIRTY COUNTRY enjoyed its world premiere and took home the Audience Award in the 24-Beats-Per-Second Competition for Best Music Documentary.
