Talent Negotation
One of the keys to creating a positive filmmaking experience is to be smart, savvy, and fair in negotiating your deals with cast and crew. Especially on low-budget productions, it is extremely important to manage your preliminary offers in a highly organized manner–otherwise you run the risk of landing yourself in the quagmire of making promises you cannot keep.
While your attorney will handle your formal contracts, we can assist you in the essential early stages of deal-making. We can help you determine your deal elements (billing order, travel, contingent compensation, etc.) and develop a strategy on what to offer, to whom, and when.
We can also provide with you some guidance on working with guilds and unions, especially Screen Actors Guild. We recommend visiting the SAGINDIE website for an overview of the various SAG low budget agreements.
